How to Book Trains in Korea
Use the official train flow first, then diagnose payment or sold-out issues separately instead of repeatedly retrying the same checkout.
1. Start with the official train service
Search the date and route first. Make sure you are looking at the correct station because major cities can have more than one rail station.
2. Treat payment as a separate problem
A foreign card failure does not necessarily mean the train is unavailable. Try another card or payment path and check whether the bank is blocking online authentication.
3. Do not confuse sold out with broken
Popular departures can sell out. If checkout works but no seat is offered, search a different departure time instead of troubleshooting your card.
4. Save the ticket offline
Keep a screenshot or offline copy of the booking details before heading to the station.
App rules, payment flows and transport details can change. Use this as a practical starting point and confirm critical details before you travel.
