How to Use Korean Maps When English Search Fails
Use English for orientation, Korean place names for stubborn searches, and save important pins before you leave Wi-Fi.
1. Search the business name, not only the address
Korean map databases are often strongest when you search the exact local business name.
2. Keep the Korean spelling
Copy the Korean name from the hotel, restaurant or booking page. Paste it into the map when the English result is missing.
3. Save the pin
Save your hotel, airport route and first few destinations before the day starts. This reduces repeated searching on the street.
4. Use a second map as a cross-check
If a route or entrance looks odd, compare another Korean map or the station signage instead of assuming one result is perfect.
App rules, payment flows and transport details can change. Use this as a practical starting point and confirm critical details before you travel.
